Lake Osborne Estates Water Main Phase I Project
YEAR: 2019
SCOPE OF WORK
Work to be performed of furnishing materials, equipment, and labor for the construction of the proposed water main related improvements as shown in the Engineering Drawings and described in the Specifications. The Phase I service area is comprised of approximately 250 residences served by existing water mains varying in size from3″ to 12″. The majority of the existing water mains and water services are located in the rear of the properties and are past their useful life expectancy. The CITY has directed that these existing water mains (and meters) be replaced with upsized water mains (as necessary) and moved to the frontage of the homes within the existing road right of ways. Approximately 14,000 LF of new water main will be proposed within the Phase I project area. The existing water mains at the rear of the properties (including ACP water mains) will be capped and abandoned in place. The CITY has also indicated that any existing galvanized, cast iron or asbestos cement (ACP) water mains be replaced. Any existing ACP water mains within the right of way areas will be capped, grout filled and abandoned in place. Since the right of way areas are owned and maintained by Palm Beach County, all restoration required as part of the proposed improvements will need to meet Palm Beach County requirements.
